Artificial intelligence is transforming society. AI Sweden is the national center for applied artificial intelligence, jointly funded by the Swedish government and our partners, both public and private. Our mission is to accelerate the use of AI for the benefit of our society, our competitiveness, and for everyone living in Sweden.
We are now looking for a Web Editor to further strengthen our Communications Team.
Application deadline: June 8
About the position
We are looking for someone with an open mindset who enjoys creating, structuring and editing web-content, making it accessible and easy to grasp for the desired target audience. We believe that you’re not afraid to dive a bit deeper into the CMS when needed and basic HTML/CSS knowledge sometimes comes in handy.
While working with the website is the primary assignment for this role, other content related tasks such as social media and newsletter creation will also be relevant, depending on your interest and skill set.
The position is for six months, with the possibility of an extension. Ideally, you’d be based in Gothenburg, but we’re open to having you in any of our offices. Your physical location is less important than finding the right person.
We believe that as a person you’re
- curious and eager to learn when it comes to new tools, platforms, and technologies.
- structured and solutions oriented.
- happy to work with people from many different disciplines and backgrounds.
- good at paying attention to detail as well as seeing the broader picture.
And workwise, you
- have a fairly deep experience from working in CMS:s. We’re currently in Drupal but that could change.
- are comfortable with text editing, in English most importantly but preferably in Swedish as well.
- have an eye for design and graphics and know your way around the Adobe Suite or other preferred tools.
Who we’re looking for
To us, artificial intelligence is not only about tech, it’s a force for positive societal change. To work here, you don’t need to know “everything” about AI, but you need to believe in its potential to help shape our society for the better. Some of our colleagues are leading AI experts, but far from all of us are technically well versed. In the communications team alone, our backgrounds and experience range from politics to advertising, and journalism and we’re looking forward to adding you and your experience to the mix.
Most likely you’ve previously worked at a medium-to-large company or organization managing websites hands on. A few years of experience is a prerequisite, however, your personality, mindset, and curiosity is what matters the most.
Why work for AI Sweden?
At AI Sweden, you’ll be part of a diverse and highly skilled team with inspiring colleagues all working with a higher purpose in mind than “just” tech. Journalists, linguists, policy professionals, leading AI scientists, historians, entrepreneurs, change leaders, and many more.
As an organization, we’re uniquely positioned at the sweet spot of governmental oomph and startup nimbleness. Small enough to stay adaptive and have fun but backed by and in close contact with both state and industry, both private and public.
And, we can most certainly be a platform helping you realize your ideas. Bring a good one, big or small, and we most likely will support and co-create with you.
In short, we like to believe we offer our staff a place to grow, an environment for personal development.
An equal and fair working environment
We strongly believe in diversity and inclusion and are acutely aware of the skewed gender balance in our industry. We actively strive to put together a diverse team in terms of age, gender, and background.
Naturally, we’re under a collective agreement (“kollektivavtal”) and offer everything that comes with it in terms of annual leave, pensions, wellness allowance (“friskvårdsbidrag”), and such.
If you have any questions or thoughts, don’t hesitate for a second to contact Mikael Ljungblom, Head of Communications.
